Dr. Alec Miller, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York

Alec Miller PsyD (Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York) is a clinical psychologist and an expert in treatment of suicidal youth using an evidence-based psychological intervention - Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).  A key portion of DBT is skills training where individuals learn skills in coping with distress, communication, and problem solving.  Such skills have been recently adapted in school-based interventions. One of Dr. Miller’s roles in the current grant will be to share his expertise in developing such mental health promotion programs in schools and community workshops.
